Located a short distance from Cleveland and Lake Erie, our\u00a0city is small in size, but rich in culture and pride. People of all backgrounds are attracted by the variety of things to do in Parma, Ohio and the diversity of its citizens. When Dr. Andy and his team aren\u2019t seeing patients, they love getting out and experiencing life as Parmesans (yes, like the cheese). Here are the top 7 reasons Dr. Andy and his team love living and working in Parma, Ohio:<\/p>\n

1. Getting active and breathe in some fresh air<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whether we\u2019re golfing, fishing, swimming or horseback riding, we love to be outdoors. With so many outdoor activities<\/a> in Parma, there\u2019s never a reason to be stuck inside.<\/p>\n

2. Lacing up our skates and hitting the ice<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the cold temperature and snowfall in the winter months, we like to stay active year round. Our favorite winter recreational activity is getting some laps in at the Michael A. Ries Ice Rink<\/a>.\u00a0 They even offer figure skating lessons!<\/p>\n

3. Making our taste buds dance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parmesans know good food. Parma is a true melting pot of cultures, and consequently we enjoy delicious and authentic ethnic food. When we\u2019re in the mood for Polish, you\u2019ll find us at the Little Polish Diner<\/a>. For authentic Italian, there\u2019s none other than Stancato’s Italian Restaurant<\/a>. When the craving for schnitzel hits, we head to Das Schnitzel Haus<\/a>, Parma’s top spot for authentic German cuisine. We all look forward to late summer, when we enjoy Grape Kuchens from Colozza\u2019s Bakery<\/a>, made with concord grapes picked fresh from the family\u2019s vineyard. It\u2019s all so good!<\/p>\n

4. Cheering on the Browns, Cavaliers and Indians<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Parma, we support our neighbors in Cleveland and love the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. If we\u2019re not in the stands on game day, rest assured wherever we are, we\u2019ll be cheering on our teams.<\/p>\n

We love to spend time at Stearn\u2019s Homestead<\/a>, the last working educational farm in Parma. It\u2019s a huge hit with the kids! Not only do we love visiting with the animals, but also there\u2019s also a Yankee barn, a country store, and historic museum houses. Every year we catch the Farmers Market in the summer and fall, the Fall Festival and Christmas on the Farm.<\/p>\n

Insider tip: Get there early for fresh eggs! They go quick.<\/p>\n

6. Spending a day at the beach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lake Erie is a short drive away and there\u2019s nothing we love more than a relaxing day at the beach with family, friends and a good book during the summer months.<\/p>\n

\u00a07.\u00a0<\/strong>Hanging out at the Farmer\u2019s Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

We often bump into each other at Chuppa\u2019s Marketplace<\/a>, Parma\u2019s largest open-air farmer\u2019s market. We load up on fresh fruits and vegetables, fine cuts of meat and gourmet cheeses for old family recipes and new Pinterest discoveries. For those times the recipes haven\u2019t worked out quite right, they\u2019ve come to our rescue with their homemade prepared foods and delicious catering menu.<\/p>\n
